Basket Under Review is a new venture in the college basketball space. A home for all sorts of coverage of the sport. It’s also a home for perhaps my favorite crossover of all time.
“College Basketball Jeopardy” combines two of my favorite things … college hoops and trivia. I caught up on all three episodes this week, watching some of the college basketball reporters I follow (and one I know) slug it out for a spot in the championship that will air next Monday.
My major takeaway from three episodes worth of college basketball trivia? I could definitely compete. While there are some more historical questions, most seem to be either recent or date back at most 10 years. That I started covering college basketball — following Illinois, the Big Ten and on a national stage — in earnest at that time certainly helped my knowledge base.
There were even a couple clues related to the Illini. “Who is Tre White?” was one correct response. “Who is Illinois?” was another.
If you love college basketball, this series is perfect for you to test your own hoops trivia knowledge. Also consider this the start of my campaign to get in on the next season if there is one. I’m all about it.
