For an unforgettable experience, look no further than Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale Beach, according to a recent list ranking the top 10 party beaches in the United States.
The list, compiled by travel website Hotels.com, highlights beaches that offer the best amenities for travelers and locals looking to have a good time.
“Whether you’re seeking a trendy lounge in Miami or a lively tiki-themed dive bar in Hawaii, our comprehensive guide has you covered,” Hotels.com wrote. “Discover the prime locations for beachside festivals, explore the top gay-friendly beach clubs, sing your heart out at popular karaoke bars, unwind at sophisticated private beach clubs and dance the night away at the liveliest dance floors — all situated along some of the most breathtaking beaches across the United States.”
Miami Beach earned the top spot in the ranking. Each key area — South Beach, Mid Beach and North Beach— has its own distinct vibe that it offers both travelers and locals.
“For the classic South Beach mega-club experience, follow the party people to celebrity favorites LIV and Story to dance until the sun comes up. If you’re after something a bit more chilled, South Beach has plenty of hip lounges and bars, including Bodega, Broken Shaker and Minibar,” Hotels.com wrote. “No trip to Miami Beach is complete without experiencing its renowned hotel lobby bars — why not savor a cocktail in the glamorous Eden Roc or Fontainebleau hotels?”
Fort Lauderdale Beach also made the list, coming in at No. 8.
” The many events held there lend the beach a great party atmosphere,” Hotels.com wrote. “There’s Tortuga Music Festival in April, Audacy Beach Festival in December, the Great American Beach Party (for Memorial Day weekend), 4th of July Spectacular, and Pride Fort Lauderdale Beach Festival and Parade in February.”
