COULEE REGION, Wis. (WXOW) – Here are a few of the events happening in the Coulee Region the weekend of September 6:
Jurassic Journey: Taming T1D
Happening: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday September 6 at Wiser Park Pavillion, 1817 CTH 6, La Crescent.
The community picnic for Type-1 Diabetes will feature a balloon artist, games, prizes, snacks, and a fossil dig. It is the third-annual T1D event made possible by a grant from Gundersen Medical Foundation.
La Crosse Pride in the Park
Happening: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6 at Riverside Park.
Featuring live music, drag shows, and more, Pride in the Park aims to provide an inclusive space to empower through love, acceptance, and fostering a deep sense of community. The family-friendly event kicks off with a proclamation from Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey and has over 80 vendors to enjoy. A quiet area sensory tent and a children’s tent will be on-site.

La Crosse Pride Day offered a celebration for everyone at Riverside Park on Saturday.
Viroqua Chamber Wine Walk
Happening: Registration begins 5:00 p.m. at Nelson Agri-Center.
Take a stroll through downtown Viroqua while supporting local businesses and enjoying a selection of wines. This 21+ event features 13 stops, each with carefully selected wines to try. Designated Driver tickets and NA drinks are available.
