As a local artist, musician, and performer, I’ve seen how much Park City thrives when creativity is woven into the fabric of our community. My artwork is exhibited at CREATE PC, the Summit County/Park City Local Artist Collective, and I also rent a studio space directly above the gallery where I create alongside nine other female artists.
Together, we open our studios to the public during the monthly Park City Gallery Stroll so people can experience first hand how local art is made before they see it displayed in the gallery.
CREATE PC is more than just a gallery — it is the only gallery in Park City that showcases and supports local artists. It is a place of connection, inspiration, and authenticity, and it helps keep the arts rooted right here in our community.
With the Kimball Art Center moving to Kimball Junction, the Bonanza 5-Acre parcel is a rare chance to ensure that the arts remain central to Park City’s identity. Without local arts leadership at the table, we risk creating a space that feels like anywhere else. With the Arts Council and CREATE PC included, the development can reflect the unique culture and creativity that make Park City so special.
I urge city leaders and residents to support the Arts Council’s inclusion in the Bonanza 5-Acre parcel. Let’s secure a permanent home for the arts in the heart of Park City.
